Why choose Acrylic?

Our Acrylic screens are robust and resistant to most expected impacts in normal operating conditions.  They offer crystal clear visibility, and superior scratch resistance, meaning they are a long lasting option.  Note that a significant impact will cause the Acrylic to crack or to shatter into relatively large pieces compared to what would be expected from glass.

Why choose Polycarbonate?

We recommend our Polycarbonate screens for applications where there is significant risk of danger to the operator from an object penetrating the screen -such as forestry or quarry operations.  Polycarbonate offers the significant benefit of being highly impact resistant, however the material is much less resistant to scratching and the impact of general wear and tear.  For example, if a Polycarbonate screen is fitted, we don’t recommend having wipers on the screen as they will scratch it.   We don’t recommend Polycarbonate for most applications for this reason – but where protection of the operator is paramount, it is a perfect option.
